Another Look

Yesterday Kyle & I were able to have another ultrasound. This was our 3rd ultrasound. Normally we would not have done so many but it was thought that there may have been something wrong with out little boy's kidneys so we had to go back several times. After yesterday we won't have to go back again! We are so grateful and are more and more excited as the days go by to meet our little guy. Its so amazing to me how they can do the 3D, 4D ultrasounds so I thought I'd share them with you.

He decided not to be cooperative so this is the best we got of his face at 23 Weeks which wasn't even his face it was the side of his head!

Never An Excuse

I know its been a while and I wish I had a good enough excuse to why I haven't posted but there just isn't one! Kyle and I are both finishing up our semester in the next 2 wks...we can't wait! I also quit my job and feel kind of weird not having one so I am sure to find something different that works well for pregnant chicks. :)

Our little baby boy is getting bigger everyday and I am amazed at how you pretty much just pop out one day and people realize your pregnant. Kind of funny, but its so fun to feel him move around and kick! We go in for another ultrasound this Wednesday and we can't wait to see him again!

Not a whole lot else happening with us these day except we are so happy its Christmas time so we can listen to Christmas tunes on 99.9 everyday! Hope you all are enjoying the Christmas season as well!

P.S. Sorry for the lack of pictures, I know thats what make posts fun but I promise to deliver next time!

Drum Roll Please...

The following are a few pictures we got from the Ultrasound...we didn't get any side profile pictures because he was just moving non-stop!
Picture 1: The ultrasound tech was kind enough to mark our evidence that we are having a boy, obviously the legs are on either side!
Picture 2: His cute little foot! Its angled to the right if your trying to figure out how it goes.
Picture 3: His head, arms, and chest!

Thanks to everyone who voted!!! The majority was right on, ITS A BOY!

Shout Out to Kyle

As some of you may or may no know Kyle was hired by GoDaddy sometime back. He was finally able to start training last Monday and has been going non-stop since! Most days I see him for about 15 mins. in the morning and thats it! Well in order to keep his job, GoDaddy administers a test in the middle of training and if you don't get 85% or better its Sayonara! I am proud to share that Kyle was 1 of 3 who passed and the only one to get 100%. We had a rough time at our house this week as my parents put our family dog down that we've had for about 11 yrs, and it happened to be the same day Kyle passed his test. B/c of that he didn't get the recognition he deserved.

So this is for you babe...I love you, I am so proud of you, and I feel so blessed to have such an amazing person in my life!

Unbelievable!

So yesterday night around 7:30 Kyle and I made a little trip to the grocery store to buy some apples for another yummy pie! We were really thinking this was a great time to shop because there were barely any people there....

After we bought the goods which took approx 15 mins. we came back out and as I'm walking around the car I notice something amiss...

Me: "Kyle, um you don't have a license plate."
Kyle: "Ah crap!"
Me: "What?"
Kyle: "Someone stole our license plate!"

First off I didn't even know people did that. Weird! So we went home called the police and they said that we would have to get a new license plate because the chances of finding these things is very slim. We were pretty bumned!

Then around 11:00 that same night we got another call from the Police. THEY FOUND OUR PLATE! How awesome! Some joker who also has a 4-Runner or stole a 4-Runner (stupid person, great car) stole our plate and decided to take it as there own! Guess that didn't pay off! So lucky for us we don't have to get a new plate, and we will go pick up our old one tomorrow.

Just shows it doesn't pay to steal...not that it ever did!

Up-to-date

This last Monday I decided to play pretend Martha Stewart and made an Apple Halloween Pie!

It turned out great...for my first pie I was impressed!
Also for an update...if it is not evident by our blog I AM PREGNANT! We have known for about 2 months now and are so excited to find out what we will be having in 1 1/2 wks, so vote to see what you think we'll have!!

Montana

After I left New York I flew to Montana then drove up to Canada without Kyle for our nephew Kasen's baby blessing, and to hang out with my family at our cabin in Montana. The weather was beautiful and I finally learned how to ski on 1 ski. YAY!

Last Day in New York

Our last day in New York we got to go to the David Letterman show. We were stand-by tickets 3 & 4...and all they took for standby was up to #4. We were so excited!! It was tons of fun...the guests were Kiefer Sutherland, Rumor Willis, and Phil Vassar as musical guest. Before and after the show we got some pictures of the celebs. The pictures just show that neither Kyle or I would be good papparazzis! :)

Washington D.C.

This last weekend we got a chance to go exploring outside of NYC with some friends so we went to DC. We did the trip in one day so we got up and left by 5 am to start the day off.

When we first got there we went to the Arlington Cemetery. It was incredible. From what I recall there are more than 300,000 servicemen and their families buried there. We walked around and saw JFK & his family's resting place by the eternal flame that has been burning since he was laid to rest there as well as The Tomb of the Unknowns, and more. The whole cemetery is over 600 acres, so as you can imagine we didn't see everything.

From there we headed over to Washington Monument. You can see it from almost anywhere in the city and it sits center to the State Capital, the White House and the Lincoln Memorial.

Then we treked our way over to the Lincoln Memorial or Monument..whichever it is. It is definitely farther than it looks, but was really neat to see.

Don't ask about the pose, we're not sure either...

Our group for the day; Nate, Jacque (taking the picture), Baby Jaxson in the middle, Jaelynne, Mark, Logan, Deborah, Me & Kyle

On our way to the Holocaust Museum we ran into this. I believe it is a Memorial for the Korean War. Anyways, I thought it was really neat and a great tribute.

The Holocaust Museum was amazing, no pictures though. I took a Holocaust Lit class in high school and since then have been so intrigued with it. I thought it was amazing...very sad to see what happened, but it interests me so much. They had a train car that was used to haul jews, and others away for Treblinka one of the camps, they had brushed, shoes, and other belongings of those that perished..it was just surreal and by far one of my favorite parts of the trip.

After the museum we decided to head over to the National Archives to view the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence. At this point we were exhausted so it was a quick in and out. Because we were so tired we decided to drive past the White House to get a closer look, which ended up not being possible by driving...oh well.

We grabbed some dinner from there then headed home and got back at about 2 in the morning...talk about a long day! Kudos to Kyle & Logan for being such troopers for driving while Deborah & I slept both ways!

Johnston Update:
So Kyle and I are finally coming home!!! We will be back in AZ on Aug. 15th. We can't wait. NYC has been a definite adventure, and we're grateful for the experience but we're both happy being close to our family. So once I get back from my trip to Canada/Montana for my nephew's baby blessing + trip to the lake we will be headed home! So next time I blog I'll be in AZ!

Washington/Oregon Trip

Well it has been ages since I've last posted! No excuses, I just like to have pictures with my posts and since we forgot to bring our camera-computer adaptor I have to borrow one from someone here and it usually takes me a few days to get it.

So I was lucky enough to take a trip to visit Kyle's Mom for 1 1/2 wks!!! We had a blast! We visited cute towns along the coast in Washington, went to Snohomish (antique town), took the ferry to Seattle for some shopping and of course the market, kayaking and just hanging out and relaxing! I am so glad I was able to spend that time with her! She is such a fun and amazing person, so thank you for everything!

I was also able to drive down to Oregon to visit my Sis, Bro-in-Law and niece. It also worked out that my parents were visiting them at the same time so I got to see them too! We had a great day hanging out on the Oregon coast, building a sand castle and visiting Astoria!

All in all it was a great trip and I'm so glad I was able to take it even though I missed Kyle! Hopefully next time he can take the trip with me!

P.S. There were more pictures from Washington but while I was uploading them to make a slideshow on my computer my lovely pup decided to chew my power cord and my comp. died while they were loading. Luckily Kyle has his computer so when I got on to see if all the pictures loaded only part had! I will get the rest when my new cord arrives! :)

HAPPY 4TH of JULY!!! Hope everyone is enjoying their day of Independence! It is overcast here in New York & we will probably see some rain, but we have a fun BBQ planned for when Kyle gets done with work and of course fireworks later!

Picture Update

So I have been pretty bad lately on updating pictures from our trips in NYC. Almost 2 wks. ago Kyle & I went to the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island with Matt (another salesman) & his fiancee Geane. It was really neat to see both, my favorite of the 2 was Ellis Island though. Is that unpatriotic? :) Anways, I've also scattered a few other pictures in the slideshow from trips I've taken with some of the wives and others. So fun to be able to see new things! Enjoy!

Fun with Ryan & Piper

This weekend Kyle and I were fortunate enough to have Ryan & Piper visit. Although it was only for 2 days we had a blast hanging out with them. On Saturday I got to go into the city with them...I feel like we went everywhere! Both have been to the city before so they pretty much showed me around which was great for me! Than on Sunday we got the chance to attend our first Yankees Stadium game. It was really cool but the weather was not! 96 degrees with humidity is not a good mixture. Nothing like Chase Field AC thats for sure but was still fun to do because this is the last season the Yankees will be using the stadium. :(

New York

We have been having fun in New York so far...me a little more than Kyle as he works all day Mon-Sat. :( But we get to go out and tour the city together on Sunday. This Sunday and last Sunday we went to Central Park. For those of you who have not been to Central Park it is HUGE! It is 2.5 mi. in length and .5 mi in width. There are more than 58 mi of walking paths throughout the park. It is unbelievable! I have now been 3 times and have not seen all of the park, but it is one of the most beautiful and amazing places in New York I think, maybe my favorite. So here are some pictures of our journey as well as some of our apartment in Fort Lee, NJ.

Kyle giving a nice smile! The building in the background with the 2 towers is called The Twin Towers of Central Park West. Many famous people have and do live here, except Madonna, for some reason they denied her.
